The Spanish Mustang

This is a poem told to me by a beautiful Spanish Mustang named Bijee. She had been living in New England and fulfilled her life here with Marianne and was now being prepared to go home to her herd in New Mexico.

“I yearn to be free –

to be in my root –

To share my fortune of wisdom to those that hear –

I absolve myself of past hurts, fears,

broken promises and mistakes.

As I have followed where my heart has taken me.

I allow myself to be free-

it is a yearning inside of me.

You are within my realm –

The music sings in your heart too –

This is the joy given to you.

We can expand and let go –

as creating a flow that is directly guided

without being stuck in human denial.

As you rise above, there is only love,

And this is the gift you share.

It’s the one that matters most,

combined with kindness and compassion.”
